Chelsea’s Choice Story
Chelsea’s Choice Sweet Potato Dog Treats was inspired by Chelsea, our senior Labrador Retriever, who was admitted to intensive care for two days in May 2008 suffering from acute pancreatitis. Much to our dismay, we discovered we had been slowly making our beloved Chelsea ill with a diet supplemented with “people food” and fat-laden treats such as pig ears. Thankfully, she recovered, and was placed on a special low fat, easy to digest diet, motivating us to find fat-free treats to keep our girl happy. Chelsea’s vet suggested dehydrated sweet potatoes as a healthy alternative to pig ears and rawhides. We couldn’t find them locally, so we started making them ourselves. We hope your four-legged family member loves them as much as Chelsea!
